I was gifted a £100 voucher for M&S, I was about to purchase some clothes for the kids when I thought SOD IT, I spent enough of them I want to treat myself!
Please tell me your best buys from Markies to inspire my spending.
I’ve already decided on a new bedding for around £20 so anything home/beauty/fashion (but more of a staple item if it’s fashion).
Thank you Smile

I should add this is for online shopping, I don’t have an M&S anywhere near me so can’t spend it on they’re lovely food.

I was so excited I can't tell you. The disappointment that this is not about food has crushed me. Could we talk about food anyway or is that bad form as you can't buy it?

Cakemakeslifebetter · 15/05/2020 19:54

@summerhouse I mean, food is my favourite topic so fire away and I’ll make a list of things I need to eat when this is all over and I can get myself to the foodhall!
I can not go through one without picking up some Prawn and mangetout gyozas!

@SummerHouse you are so on my level... Smoked salmon sandwich filler and the mini garlic chicken kievs from the frozen section please ☺

@Cakemakeslifebetter their jeggings are really good quality for £15, really comfortable and some nice colours, also the thin knit round neck jumpers are really reasonably priced too and nice patterns and colours. Personally I'd get another of their trench coats (£55) as I'm massively impressed with mine!

Cakemakeslifebetter · 15/05/2020 19:56

@SummerHouse oh and their Dolce de leche eclairs!

Look at their beauty range . They don't only sell own brands and actually do some decent stuff.

HeimdallSaysNo · 15/05/2020 20:00

I'm boring and would stock up on underwear. But food and drink-wise, they do some lovely lagers and IPAs, I could eat some Percy Pigs right now, I love their sourdough and gimme their posh macaroni cheese please.

SummerHouse · 15/05/2020 20:02

Good @Cakemakeslifebetter you have cheered me right up. Thier cheese fondue that comes in a dish and you bake it. And the slow cooked beef. Yum-o.

Isbutteracarb · 15/05/2020 20:03

I second the jeggings suggestion (they're amazingly comfy) and would recommend the Formula ultimate sleep night cream from their own range.

ivfgottostaypositive · 15/05/2020 20:04

Ivy jeans - I have them in every colour - bit of an obsession 🤦‍♀️

mynameiscalypso · 15/05/2020 20:05

I think if you wanted one splurge thing, I'd go for a cashmere jumper. I've got a grey boyfriend style one which I wear to death. I agree their beauty stuff is good too.

Cakemakeslifebetter · 15/05/2020 20:09

@mynameiscalypso I don’t own anything cashmere. Does it have to be hand washed/ dry cleaned? If I can’t throw it in the machine it’s no use around my kids who like to cover me in all their muck! Grin

Curries
Better than Waitrose

The jeans are an incredible good fit.
If you go to the perfume section there’s some nice stuff there

mynameiscalypso · 15/05/2020 20:12

I've never handwashed anything in my life (and I have a 9 month old who thinks that the point of weaning is to throw as much food at me as possible 😂)

Auntgiraffe · 15/05/2020 20:14

I thought this would be a food thread but for non food I'd say get some of their magic jeans, they're brilliant!

MoltoAgitato · 15/05/2020 20:19

I got a lovely pleated skirt which I’ve worn to death from there, also their jeans are good. I have a cashmere jumper which is lovely but going a bit bobbly.

AdaColeman · 15/05/2020 20:37

They have a good selection of lovely Fragonard perfumes, also some by Monotheme, a super Italian perfume house. Any one of them would be a gorgeous treat.

Also don’t forget that they do chocolates by post from the Hampers section of the website. Some interesting selections of beautiful chocolates, another indulgent treat!

nellyburt · 15/05/2020 20:59

There's a sale on at the moment. I've just ordered a pair of jeans £9! And a pair of trainers £15!

CorianderLord · 15/05/2020 22:03

I like their leather high neck pumps - can't remember exactly but they're really soft and fit well

BigBairyHollocks · 15/05/2020 22:07

I got a pair of lovely joggers, cuffed at the bottom and high waisted, super comfy.

Timeandtune · 15/05/2020 22:07

I agree about the jeggings. I now have them in several colours. I have tried much more expensive brands and M&S are by far the best.
I also have some shapewear which I highly recommend. You may not need it of course but I definitely do.

FamilyOhNo · 15/05/2020 22:11

I like Rosie underwear, some footwear, China mugs, glass wear ( but not always dishwasher friendly ) and frozen prawns.

Have fun ....

Hopeislost · 15/05/2020 22:16

The high waisted jeggings! I have them in several colours now. So flattering and £15!
