So I bumped a car when driving, completely my fault, and knocked the wing mirror off. The other cars wing mirror is bent and the covering came off but is still in tact. The covering was on the road so I picked it up and put it on the car so it won't get further damage. Anyway, I went and asked around who's car it was a guy said he wasn't sure, the man parks his car and then lives around the corner on a different street. I was writing my details down to put on the car and the guy said he would pass them on to the driver when he sees them. I at first thought this was a better idea than leaving them on the car in case someone else see the details and take them, ( I've heard of people being scammed this way ). Was I being too naive? If the guy doesn't pass my details on, could I be in trouble?
I feel so stupid.
