I'm thinking of buying a Gesslein Future Pram - are they any good?

Hi

I am in the process of trying to find a pram for my first baby who will be arriving in November.

I am very tempted by the Gesslein Future - does anybody have any practical experience of using one? It doesn't seem to be a well known name here in the UK ...

I rather like the fact is feels quite sturdy and well made, that the cot part lies nice and flat and is well padded and that the pushchair setting can face both ways. Where I am hesitating is that is does feel quite bulky and heavy compared to some of the other prams out there.

Anybody got any advice for a confused newbie

Thanks

I've never even heard of them but what I would say is can you try it out at all?

Hi Holly,

Gesslein are beautifully made very study prams. They are very comfortable for your baby but they are on the heavy side. Not a problem for pushing as they roll along nicely so an excellent walking pram but are heavy to lift. That is the reason you don't see so many here in the UK, we tend to go for more lightweight prams here.

Can you go and look at one? As far as I know there are only a few sellers in the UK. Eric Snook's The Golden Cot in Bath (he is the UK importer) and The Baby in Manchester and Cheadle have it on display. I think there is also a dealer somewhere in Scotland but I don't know where. If you called The Golden Cot they would tell you.

Hope this helps a bit.
