Letterbox cataloguedelivery times

I ordered some personalized pencils from Letterbox on 18 August. The catalogue said allow 28 days for delivery. They haven't shown up. I emailed yesterday and have just had a reply saying that they had had a lot of orders and "hoped to dispatch my product sometime next week" Is this a bit rubbish, or am I expecting too much? Have I been spoiled by all the overnight deliveries I've had from internet shopping?

Personalised delivers always take longer, and ordering on the 18 Aug I bet they did have a rush as a result of school returners. If they say 28 days they should deliver in 28 days though. I would give it another week before getting particularly wound up as it is only just 28 days, in fact it isn't quite 28 days yet is it?

Ignore that last comment - I was assuming 28days in a calendar month [duh]

Letterbox have just offered me an apology and 50% off the cost of my order - fab customer service after all!
