Kaiser footmuff

I have been looking at the Kaiser footmuffs on ebay as they seem ideal for my 2 year old dd who is very tall/long, she has outgrown her buggysnuggle now and I would like something for the winter months. The Kaiser says they are a lot bigger. Does anyone have one, and can you recommend it? Also might interested in buying one if you have one in pink.

I don't think they are any longer than a buggysnuggle. Both about 100cm I think.
They are fab though, but very very warm.

you can get xl ones which fit a tall 3 yr old in 97cm with room to grow. The bottom can unzip to let shoes out too. V v snuggly and they don't slip down due to some clever bobbly bits on the back.

Highly recommended them.

nappyaddict · 05/02/2008 17:46

are they warmer than buggysnuggles?

onelittlelion · 07/02/2008 00:40

Much warmer than a buggy snuggle. Like a proper sleeping bag. Really thick. Great for walking bit too much for shopping as zip open but not off.

nappyaddict · 07/02/2008 02:29

have you got a kaiser one then? would you recommend it? shame it doesn't zip off though ...

BexieID · 07/02/2008 03:06

I had the standard one that I sold to get the XL one but that got lost in transit, lol. They have a zip off bit at the end for muddy feet. If you goto the small business section on Mumsnet, baby2childhood (also on ebay) offer Mumsnetters a 10% discount!

nappyaddict · 07/02/2008 07:19

is the normal sized one too small now for Tom? how tall is he?

BexieID · 07/02/2008 11:40

No, it did still fit him but a lady had an XL one for sale and I knew someone who wanted mine, lol. I'll try and measure Tom, no idea how tall he is!

nappyaddict · 07/02/2008 11:48

thanks ds is 81cm.

Bubbaloo · 07/02/2008 20:15

I got mine from baby2childhood-great service and lovely lady!
Footmuff is good too.

nappyaddict · 07/02/2008 21:58

onelittlelion they do open fully. i have a photo on my profile of one on ebay if you want to see how.

sazm · 10/02/2008 18:04

yep,i have a pink XL one and its GREAT me and lo LOVE it,

lubyluby · 10/02/2008 18:12

depends on your child really as dd hated hers. i think it was becasue of the way it does up with the zip in the middle that she felt too mummified and also too hot in it for most UK weather. shame as it does look good, but i think it is more suited for much colder climates than the UK.

sazm · 10/02/2008 18:30

lol see my dd loves it,she gets so excited when she see's its that buggy ive got with me!lol, i wouldnt use it in the summer months though, but its great for this time of year

allgonebellyup · 10/02/2008 18:32

are they made by the keiser chiefs?

sazm · 10/02/2008 18:33

lol

nappyaddict · 11/02/2008 23:27

see i'm thinking of using one of these for the really cold weather and then a buggysnuggle for months like april/may an even june sometimes when you still need something but not anything as thick as that.
