Junior scrabble or regular?

I was thinking of getting the Junior version for my 4 and 6 year olds for Christmas, but having never seen one, I am not sure of the difference. We already have regular scrabble.

Personally I wouldn't bother. Its got a different game on either side of the board. One side, has a board with all the letters of words already on it and the object is to cover the letters in order. Youplace a letter on the board then take a new one from the bag. It boring tbh! The other side is almost exactly the same as regular, but the scoring is simplified.

That said, I only have one child, so I was always the one who had to play it with her, so it may be different, as you can set your two to it.

You could always get something like this if you wanted them to have a Scrabble of their own.

I agree with MMLove - we have both but DC much prefer ordinary scrabble.

You can use the ordinary scrabble but soften the rules - maybe share all the letters out at the begining, or have them face up so children can make words they know esp 4yo
