maclaren pushchair servicing/repairs - anyone used one??????

The brakes are wrecked on my techno xt and the rear wheels wobble because the disc bit of the brake are worn out and loose. Other than that it is in fab condition.

My local servicing/repair places are miles away so it could be just as cheap to courier it to elsewhere to get repaired.

Anyone used a maclaren approved repair place and been happy with the cost etc, if so which one? I really don't fancy the stress of driving to a unit somewhere at heathrow airport

TIA

could motehrcare not send it off for you?

when our maclaren broke (was 15 months old) motehrcare sent it off to maclaren.... orignially it was sent to off for macleren to see if it should have broken and they might have charged us.... but eventually we argued and argued under slae of goods act and got a new buggy.

the pint being motehrcare send buggies off to maclaren and mothercare stires are generally plentiful and easy to find!

it wasn't bought from mothercare so I suspect they won't touch it with a barge pole and maclaren themselves don't do it or set repair prices (I've asked).

Help!

i used one, got their details from the maclaren site www.maclarenbaby.com/gb

click on customer service and then on left UK Service agents. When I put in my postcode got a few nearish choices. They were a small pram/baby shop, but fitted new wheels. Fine, not too expensive.

hi i work for mothercare, they would send a buggy of for service/ repair even if hadnt brought of them, service is 30, if for repair £40, so not hugly cheap

I finally rang one that is 20 miles away only £20 to replace the brake discs and fit new axles so quite cheap really, guess I will call the one at Heathrow airport too in case it as cheap I'm just not sure I can face the trauma of finding some sort of trading unit at Heathrow Airport - it's like a rabbit warren! Thanks for the info

hello

idafirst · 28/05/2010 11:04

hi i was wondering if anyone could give me a good buggy repair phone number as my bugaboo bee reclining mechanism does not function properly as the back of the pushchair cannot be secured properly. i do not know if it is the frame or the seat that is faulty!!! thanks

CarGirl · 28/05/2010 17:25

This thread is nearly 3 years old!!!

Erm if your bee is less than 2 years old it should surely be covered by bugaboo warranty?

sorry, i did nt realise!!! it is less than 2 years old, but i got it from a shop online, and when i emailed them with the reference of my buggy, they said it did not match! i doubled check but nothing.

I really only think that bugaboo can service bugaboo products.

There is a good independent servicing place in Twickenham but no idea if he does bugaboo!
