Bugaboo bee5 carrycot as a moses basket?

Our first baby is due in a few months. And whilst we have the maxicosi ilora Co-Sleeper for overnight sleep, we are considering just using the bugaboo bee5 carrycot (with the top zipped off) instead of a moses basket. The main factor is space, we live in a 1-bed flat at the minute.

We are thinking that for the first couple of months, before we move to somewhere with a little more space, we can alternate between the bugaboo carrycot and the sleepyhead deluxe (on the sofa) for baby's daytime naps.

Does this sound reasonable? Obviously the baby would not stay overnight in either of these items as they'll have their own crib!

I don't think that any pram carrycots are intended for longterm overnight sleeping.

I deliberately chose a pram with a carrycot marked as safe for overnight and used it for weekends away but even though it had vents in the side you only have to look at it to see that air won't be flowing as freely around the carrycot as it would be the moses basket.

Sorry OP I completely missed the point of your post!

Yes, it'll be fine for naps!
