Electric toothbrush for children - which one?

I was thinking of getting the dc, well ds in particular an electric toothbrush. He had 4 teeth out in the summer and I got it from the dentist - but thats another story. Are they really better than regular brushing and what brand do I look for?

My DS is 4 and has a battery one - we use normal rechargeable batteries and they last ages.

We did have a colgate one but recently bought a new one from the Disney Store - i like the disney one as the head is a good shape, not too big and its not too fast (if that makes sense).

I do prefer them to a standard toothbrush and feel they do clean better.

Think I'll have a look in Boots this weekend, thanks for that.

DD did have a battery toothbrush from Sainsbury's but we found that the contacts wore out very quickly.
DP and I got new rechargeable toothbrushes just before DD's birthday. We gave her unit that was mine and has a 2 minute timer on it. All I needed to buy for her was the new heads. OralB do Disney ones for kids.

Ok - Oral B it is then. And do you think they really clean better?

I think so. DP and I have really felt a difference after using our new 7500 for a few weeks. Also having the timer on DD's makes sure that she cleans them properly.

we bought a normal adults rechargeable one from oral b then put the kids heads on it. They are all interchangeable.

I've seen the sonic ones and would be tempted for myself, good to know that the heads are interchangeable.
