Children's laptop type electronic game for DD1's 5th birthday

I know that's the worst description ever but ... sometimes when we go to other people's houses, DD1 (almost 5) makes a bee-line for these electronic toys that look like kiddi-laptops, with inbuilt keyboards. They seem to usually involve spelling games and numbers games etc.

Because I don't know what they are called and what I'm looking for exactly, I don't know how to Google these things but DH and I are interested in possibly getting one for DD1's birthday in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone (have the faintest idea what I'm talking about?!) have one of these for their children and, if so, can anyone recommend one of these things that would be suitable for a 5+ year old?

Thanks to anyone who's able to decipher this/help.

Look on Amazon or Toys R Us under Vtech, they do a variety of those type of toys.

Thanks for your replies - sorry I haven't said that before now but things have been a bit mad here. Will take a look at your suggestions and see if anyone was brilliant enough to decipher my rubbishy description!

Thank you!
