Are you near a John lewis? Ours has different makes including startrite.

I recently got ds some shoes from clarks and when I said that I didnt like the ones out as they all looked like trainers, the lady bought afew more out from 'the back'.

Brantano also measure feet but only ever bought ds wellies from there so not sure how good they are.

I would second start-rite. We go to an independent shoe shop now and they also do lots of continental makes and fit them for you as well.

Start-rite or Jones also do shoes for babies/toddlers.

I didn't actually realise anywher but clarks did proper baby shoes, but apparently Jones' do Startrite.

IME, easily about £27 for a pair. Jones had a shoe sale on recently and there might be some left in that I guess.
