How can I find out which printer will be the cheapest per page to print in black and white?

I'm fed up of spending a fortune on printing out high quality colour for simple black and white docs. Does anyone know where I can find out which would be the cheapest printer to do black and white printing or has anyone worked it out?

doesn't your printer have an option to just print in b&w?

No, my printer appears to only allow colour printing!

go to John lewis on a saturday afternoon,wait 25 minutes for a spotty yoof to come a speak to you,ask him the question,then 15 minutes later he will have gone through all the ins&outs of each printer,then you say ok I'll have that one, you spend another 15 minutes waiting until he can get to a till,another 5 minutes while he types in allsorts of numbers THEN he tells you the bloomin thing is out of stock ( then you look menencing at him and your dh pulls you away before you hit him!)

when you press print does you computer give you options, go to preferences then select colour and it should give you an option to just use the black cartridge.

try looking at the PCPRo reviews? They usually do a costing....
