Anyone have dark wood flooring?

Dh wants to get it for our living room but I think its going to show up all the dust and scratches and with 2 lo's there will be a lot.

What does it wear like?

Better it shows up the dust rather than it accumulating in a carpet! Most of our floors are dark wood and I suppose they are quite battered but they seem to go with the house. You can put stuff on them though. I don't bother.
