Does anyone know where I can get nice furniture for children in the 6 - 9 age group. I really want a a wooden or plastic table and chairs to go in a playhouse, but everything I have seen seems to be suitable for younger children.

I think ikea has some pretty nice things that are not too expensive.

Can't you use adult sized ones at that age? My nearly 3 year old sits happily at our smallish wooden garden table and chairs.

Adult sized furniture will take up too much room in the playhouse plus I wanted something extra special for my ds. I think I will have to pluck up the nerve to visit Ikea - the trouble is I always end up spending a fortune on stuff I don't need but can't resist.

Your kiddies may be too big for this suggestion, but have you seen the table and chairs they have on special offer at Asdas? The table and chair legs are "pencils" and they are nice bright colours. They are only £9.97 in Asdas at the moment, but I've also seen them for about £15 in Woolies.
