most jewlers have them, what type did you want?

Do you want a keepsake, or one for her to wear that wouldn't be the end of the world if she lost?

Argos do some cheap and cheerful ones.

If you want a keepsake/heirloom, I would choose a nice bracelet from a jewellers and add a charm or two each year. I have got a gold charm bracelet I was given as a child, has now got about 10 charms on it, and I love it (don't wear it much though). It was difficult to get hold of charms for a while but I think they are back in fashion now so you may have more luck/choice. HTH.

Hi. i got some beautiful charms from e-bay. they came from the states but it worked out at a third of the price of a charm bracelet here. they also come with split rings to attach them so you dont have to get it soldered. mine is beautiful, a pressie from DD1, DS, and DD2 for my 30th.

Thanks all! Don't want a heirloom, something she can wear now. Argos only seem to have Barbie or Winnie the pooh and I hoped to be able to pick and mix charms. More ideas anyone?

Wobblyknicks was making them for people at a thread on the philosophy section if you wanted a bespoke one! She made them to order what you wanted and within a price range.

kkgirl · 03/10/2004 21:42

Claires Accessories are selling silver bracelets and then you can buy small charms to go on.

kkgirl · 03/10/2004 21:43

Oops
Wobblyknicks was going to ask for more details of the ones you make, how much, silver or gold, details of charms etc??

wobblyknicks · 03/10/2004 21:52

kkgirl - am currently starting up my own business making jewellery and make silver charm bracelets - I'll happily make gold ones on request but they are so much more expensive that its not worth doing on a 'regular' basis - ie trying to sell rather than doing on request. Can do hundreds of different charms if you tell me what sort of thing you want. You can CAT me if you want to talk about it more.
