untilyesterday, bought ds school shoes where i was buying his trainers, from a sports shop. reduced (supposedly) from 40 to 10.

i have always always used Clarkes but bit the bullet, he is nearly 13 and i wasthinking enough is enough.
anyone else feeling similar?

Bought dd some Doodles sandals this year btu otherwsie haven't bought from Clarks in over 2 years and no intention of doing so.

I spent £32 on some plain black leather shoes for DS (age 3) as he was a pageboy at a wedding.

After a few wears they now look very scuffed adn DH is convinced they are too big as he seems to catch his toes when he walks in them.

I'm considering taking them back, but I bought them over a month ago and put them away for the wedding so am worried they might tell me to feck off

nah they wont tell them you havnt got the reciept but bought them 2 weeks ago as long as they have the clarks name on them they should take them back or offer a pair in return

Have never bought ds clarks shoes, think it is a big swizz! I buy him well made leather shoes from asda that fit well usually. I always had cheap shoes as a kid, there were 3 of us and we all have lovely feet with no problems! I think either you have problem feet or not, and it's only if you put your kids in ill fitting badly made shoes ou will harm their feet.

The price of them is shocking, my friend always buys from clarks and they don't last IMO.

I bought dd's first shoes there, but haven't been back since. She's 11!

Never buy Clarks after some bad experiences. I use a small independent shop for DD. Her school shoes are there own make that they have made especially for them in Turkey.

felt pressured but stuck to my guns and got a cute pair of spiderman shoes for ds starting school next week. May only last a term or two but by then shoes will be on sale and reduced at Clarks so i can get a pair then.
Many many reasons for not spending £30 on a pair of shoes for a 4 year old....(NEVER EVER would pay that for shoes for myself)
Cant be doing with nagging or worrying about him scuffing an expensive pair.

elasticbandstand · 01/09/2007 10:58

well exactly, i don't buy my shoes from there, i was thinking there must come a point, by the sound of things I have been quite late to come to that decision, bearing in mind his age.
