has anybody bought a Lazzari storage cube system?

The kind sold by GLTC? Is it worth the money?

i need some heavy duty kids storage and am seriously tempted by this range ( i like the pretty drawers!) but it seems so expensive for a bit of MDF and some canvas.

So is it worth it?

We brought the scandinavian storage system and plastic crates from Argos as they were much cheaper. Admittedly not as pretty - but very sturdy and large capaciy (larger than the GLTC one I think).

Anyone else, I'm looking at them now.

(And this thread was one of the top hits when you Google 'Lazzari'. Oh the power of MN)!

What did you g for in the end? I'm also looking to get Lazzari but wincing at the cost! Is it worth it or did you get a cheaper alternative?

ohdearwhatamess · 06/04/2009 19:17

We've got it. Had it for about 2 years now, and it is still going strong. Reasonably sturdy and looks quite nice too.

The only thing I'd say is don't get any cream coloured drawers (is that the right name?). They stain easily and are impossible to keen clean, ime.

What about this

or i have this

I have this one on it's side as a bench with toys on top (great height for playing) and a combination of these boxes which fit the gaps exactly. and these and these in red pink gream and green]]

Bonde and Expedit have loads of different inserts worth a look anyway! HTH

I've bought Ikea's Expedit four space square unit and will be buying two Lazzari Drawer Bs from GLTC which fit fine, getting the best of both worlds hopefully! The Expedit cube is £40 and the two boxes are £27 each if you go for the nice patterned ones. The other two square spaces can be used for books... Good luck!

A friend has it..looks cool but it is very small (each box)

MrsJohnDeere · 22/07/2010 16:01

We've had ours for 3.5 years now and it is still going strong. My only mistake was buying one of the drawers (or whatever they're called) in cream - that one shows dirt really easily and has got stained. Multi-coloured work best.

I'd get them from somewhere other than GLTC because they're customer service is so awful, but that's just personal preference. They delivered ours in endless damaged parcels over several weeks. I think other places sell them now though.

oh, just spotted this is a really old thread
