Just got it 1/2 price from toys direct to my door all excited as ds desperately wants it for his birthday only for dp to say that the fact that the engine is pushing Thomas means it probably won't work that well.

As I'm not the Thomas expert I was wondering what other people's experiences of it are.

Its not wonderful to be honest but ds doesn't care.

I thought that Thomas was powered too? I just sold one on Ebay with a bettery powered Thomas! But then we did have a couple of thomas's anyway!

You can get battery powered Thomas' but the jet engine one is a normal Thomas with the jet battery powered.

Thanks for that. It'll be his 1st battery controlled train, can't wait to see the look on his face. Thinking I may get one of the cheaper battery Brio ones too as back up in that case.

I see there is a Lady one too, any idea who she is then as I've not come across her???

Does annoy me that the only battery trains they do are ones we've already got.

They have introduced 60 new characters this year, many are girl trains so they are obviously trying to appeal to the girls too.

The Rev Awdry's son carried on writing Thomas stories after his death so he introduced some new characters too.

With my user name on this thread I sound really sad don't I?

I can see how it happens, never thought I'd be getting excited over a battery controlled train!!!
