Where do you buy school tights from?

I have got to get new tights for both dd's soon and was just wondering where everyone bought them from. I have tried various places - most of them are rubbish quality after a few washes. The Woollies ones resembled Simon Cowell's trousers after a very short time!!! I have only found M&S to be of any use but they are so expensive when you're buying for two.

I buy dd's school tights from Marks and Spencers, always have done. they wash really well and she grows quite slowly so I usually manage to get nearly 2 winters out of them.

Have found Adams and mothercare ok and I think they're a bit cheaper than M&S. Tend to get Pex tigts from school shop though as they fit DD best.

John Lewis ones are very good, tho' can't remember how much they cost.

I would also go for the mothercare ones. I liked the 'therma' type ones that adjust to the temperature.

Thanks - any idea how much the Mothercare ones are? Or do they have a website - I'll go and look!

Have to say that although M&S are expensive they probably work out to be best in the long run as they are such good quality. They are fab for DD and give her a really good fit, wash well, don't bobble, don't lose their shape, and last - even when she falls over in the playground!!
I have tried loads of different makes -adams (go bobbly and baggy), pex (more cottony than woolly), ladybird (baggy), vertbaudet (far too expensive and don't wash well) you can see I've done my research!!
I am just about to order some funky ones from Boden at huge expense so can't comment on these just yet!!

Poppyseed - agree with all those points really, just trying to convince myself I may be able to save a bit of money. Other point is all those things don't stop the big hole when dd's fall over and I have to buy new . Have to just go get them I suppose!

I get my dd's from BHS. They wash really well and last for ages.

Asda was terible as they shrunk badly even though i didn't tumble dry them.

BHS ones are 2 pairs for a fiver i think.

another vote for M&S. Have usually bought them in the sale for the next year, but didn't this year
Can also say that Next aren't very good (go pilly)
