Is it possible to get a rack for a very small child's bike? Do they exist?

Ds has just learnt to ride a bike and he wants a rack so that he can attatch his important papers and so forth there on his travels.

His bike is about as small as they come with pedals. He is nearly 4.

Can only find big people's racks in halfords.

Thoughts?

maybe a basket to attach to the handle bars? Really cheap, easy to put on remove, then important snack/drnk/toys can also be transported

Thanks ernest

i am trying to sell the idea of a basket to him.

right now he is "nonono."

usually i'd be more "oh fgs put up with it" but HE HAS JUST LEARNT TO RIDE A BIKE. No stablisaers or anything. He can do round our big park without stopping. so, I am sure you understand.

absolutely. a big moment in a boy's life. Maybe take him to the larges bike shop and show him what's available and let him choose from what is there, inc bike water bottle etc.

if mine have thier heart set on something which is a none runner, I get further not by trying to pesuade them (get no where) but by taking them to the shop and get them to choose. the excitement of money in hand usually wins the day in our house

i know i know

but my local bike shop is just HORRIBLE

its run by the sort of people who really resent you going in there an disturbing their conversation about detatchable mudguards

isn't there a nicer one even if it's further away? Tie it in with a mini day trip and treat to get an ice cream as a well done for learning such a big boy cool thing. Our bikes were all bought complete with rack on, never seen 'em sold sep. for kids' bike, but then never needed to look. good luck. It is exciting, esp as he's so young. well done
