I have a Honda FRV which I love. 6 seater. 3 full adult seats front and back. Massive cabin. Good size boot. Need to replace it as it’s getting old. Need 3 full seats as we travel to France in the summer and to Devon regularly and need plenty of room or my 3 sons will drive me insane bickering. We can’t downsize to a 5 seater as we always need room for friends so guessing I need a 7 seater. Need massive boot as we do a lot of active camping holidays. Don’t like typical mpvs like CMax as feel I’m driving a ‘mum bus’ Blush. Have thought about Volvo and also VW caravelles/shuttles. Can anyone help. Budget does not stretch to a Disco or a Lexus and I don’t like Mercedes or BMWs Confused. Also I hear bad things about parking the XC90s ....

Get a Peugeot Rifter Grin

I picked mine up today and it is wonderful!
The row of three seats in the back are really big and comfortable and the back 2 are proper seats and my 6ft 3 husband can sit comfortably

Please help me choose the right 7 seater!

I had an Audi Q7. It’s small inside and the boot is tiny. I liked the exterior “look” but it wasn’t good practically for 3 kids, lots of luggage, camping gear, an extra friend etc. hence buying the VW Sharan.

I can't see any Skodas being mentioned so far. Pretty sure there's a 7 seater version of the Kodiaq and cabin size a boot were great. For sheer cabin and boot space with 5 seats take a look at a Superb Estate as well. VW/Audi group quality and incredibly practical. Get one with decent size engine and they're good fun too drive.

That’s the Q7 gone then. Thanks for that 👍🏼

I think the Tiguan would be too small for your needs, maybe a Touareg?
We have a 6 seater Vauxhall Vivaro. It's amazing for space but it's not overly comfortable for front passengers for long trips.

Have I missed something- why don't you just buy a newer version of the one you have? 👀😁

I have a BMW GRAN TOURER and it doesn’t have 3 full, seats in the back.

Another vote for the xc90. I'm on my second one and I was initially dragged to the garage reluctantly at the thought of trading in my BMW for a mum vehicle. I will admit it is a better buy for us right now and a pleasure to drive and sit in.
It's really fine to park, cameras and sensors everywhere and the safety commitment of Volvo comes through on some of the driving features. I had four adults and three kids (smaller than yours but all in seats) last week for two hours and all comfortable. I was in the back for some of it as we swopped driver and had loads of room.
The boot is very decent sized with only 5 seats in use and i often use it with 6 for sports matches.

Here to fly the caravelle flag!

Have had ours for 10 years now...expensive to buy but really hold their money.
Drives well, comes in to its own on long journeys.

You can configure the seating in different ways, including a kit which turns the rear bench in to a bed, and can buy extras like a kitchen pod to make it double up as a camper which clunk securely in to to the floor rails.

It's big enough to cart pretty much anything about....need a new washing machine/bed/garden furniture etc? No probs, fling it in the back!

DH says the Mercedes Vito version has an excellent write up if you fancied the look of it.

I love ours...can't ever imagine being without it.

If you have the money a Volvo XC90 is the way forward. We did so much research when choosing our latest car. The xc90 was way ahead of the rest for seat and boot room (even when a 7 seater). We couldn't afford it though.

We have 2 kids and went for the Tiguan all space. It's great but wouldn't meet your needs as it's not 3 full seats and the boot is absolutely tiny when all 7 seats are in use (and the leg space for the 6 and 7th seats is tiny).
