I am going through a similar baker ross addiction myself atm.... it's all Roisin's fault....

sweetheart · 28/09/2004 14:51

I have added it to my fav's because of Roisin - have to say I have resisted the temptation to order anything just yet - but I am waiting to be paid

roisin · 28/09/2004 14:51

Sorry

I just placed my order today, and I'm really cross as I STILL haven't got a copy of the catalogue, so once that finally arrives I'll want to place ANOTHER order for all those things I didn't come across on their lousy website.

I qualified for the musical reindeer, but only just; I thought was quite restrained.

AuntyQuated · 28/09/2004 14:52

my order is still lying on the kitchen bench!!

Miaou · 28/09/2004 14:53

Don't worry Roisin, only teasing...you are actually saving me a fortune

roisin · 28/09/2004 14:57

AQ - get it in! Offer open (website only?) on orders placed before 30 Sep, which I guess means you've got today or tomorrow.

(Or are you going to be the only one to be really restrained and not spend more than £50 anyway?)

roisin · 28/09/2004 15:00

Just to get my own back ... I blame Twink, who introduced me to Baker Ross (via mumsnet) 2.5 yrs ago.

Thankyou Twink

bea · 28/09/2004 15:02

( iknow stupid and daft but i feel like i HAVE to do it now!!!) and went mad ordering all those cute wooden stick on angels, and glitter stars and pearly paint for dd and glue dots, and mettalic pens and... and... and... youklnow what it's like!!!!

I'm getting a free reindeer, too and I hadn't even heard of them till the thread the other week!
How long do they usually take for deliveries? I ordered 10 days ago and I'm still waiting for my parcel.

Skate · 28/09/2004 15:15

I've never heard of it till I came on here and have been meaning to order a brochure - however, just embarking on an economy drive before house move and enormous mortgage so maybe not a good idea?

Mind you, I like the idea of the kids making Xmas cards - is it good stuff?

SoupDragon · 28/09/2004 15:51

I've done that before and them when the box arrived it was enormous! I looked at it and thought "WTF have I ordered?" closely followed by "How am I going to hide this from DH?"

Twinkie · 28/09/2004 15:56

Ooohhh just ordered som estuff for DD to make her own cards - little angels and Santas and Reindeers - yippee she will love it and only spent 28 quid - great thing for me to hide and then do when I am on maternity leave with her!!

roisin · 28/09/2004 15:56

Allegra - this is the busiest time of year for them, but the standard delivery should still be within 10 working days. If it's been that long, I would contact them. Their customer service is good.

(Last time I ordered it was an urgent delivery, and they messed up the quantities ... first time I've ever had a problem with them. The missing items were with me next day, and they included some extra stuff, and sent a credit note as well )

sis · 28/09/2004 20:21

I ordered on the 8th or 9th September and it arrived yesterday so it is taking some time at the moment. The mini glitter pompoms are really cute!

Allegra · 28/09/2004 20:25

Thanks, I'll give them another day or two and then chase it up.

tamum · 29/09/2004 17:21

Mine arrived today, tra la la (festive singing). May I just recommend the Model Magic , laydeez? It's not cheap, but dd has spent all afternoon knocking up lovely little models with it. It's really light, and moulds very well.

roisin · 08/10/2004 18:44

My order arrived today - feeling all festive now. DS2 and I have been making sequin baubles Great fun!

They STILL haven't sent me a catalogue, and I've requested twice... I'll probably end up with half a dozen next week.

marthamoo · 08/10/2004 18:54

Oooh where's my catalogue? I must email them. Can't remember who told me about them but I know it was on MN

Oh. My. God. Want it all NOW. Baby is only 6 months old but I want the glittery pom poms and the halloween templates and the stick on gems. Already have the glitter shakers. Think husband is about to leave me.... What a magpie

binkie · 09/12/2004 14:52

Help!!

Father Christmas has a fixed idea that dd (aged 4) is going to have a bag of toy jewels in her stocking. Baker Ross have stick-on ones, but I think I'm meant to track down small-pebble-sized ones that can be Real Pirate Treasure.

I'm sure you lot know where to look? Please?

Roisin · 09/12/2004 14:59

What does she want to do with them?

\link{http://www.elc.co.uk/sku-107532/p1-KeywordSearch/p2-60/Product.do\beads from ELC} ...?!
In our house the only acceptable pirate treasure is chocolate money!

Roisin · 09/12/2004 14:59

And this reminds me I still never got my BR catalogue Sad

binkie · 09/12/2004 15:01

Just glory in the possession of beauty I think. (Girl thing presumably!)
