She'll be 6. Has bike and scooter, Playmobil, Barbie et al. Reluctant to buy Mattel as am still waiting to discuss options re: Polly Pocket Recall. We have some Disney figurines to give and we're going to the theatre but she is expecting a toy.{sigh} Really wants an Iggle Piggle but think a)she's too old b)they're well overpriced c)Tesco had run out of the small beanie ones. Ideas , not necessarily extravagant, please .

There was someone selling brand new night story stuff on for sale board. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head as i have 2 and 4 yr old. I usually trawl through toys r us and argos websites for inspiration.

Sylvainian family is good for that age, if you buy from argos they come with more extras than if you buy from other shops.

Pollyanna · 22/08/2007 18:06

my 6 yo dd is really into sylvanian family and also the Littlest Pet Shop.

She wants some Heelies for her next birthday.

LIZS · 22/08/2007 18:13

Good point on Sylvanians, trouble is if I get a few will she want more , and more , and more... It is hard to contain what she has already (which makes her sound very spoilt but she's not really).

How about a cheap digital camera

treacletart · 22/08/2007 18:31

How about a simple digital camera?

treacletart · 22/08/2007 18:31

cazzybabs · 22/08/2007 18:32

What about a day out? OR some craft things (I said on Misdee's thread we had the GLTC catelogue and they have som elovely craft thigs - already planned dds christmas pressies#)

LIZS · 22/08/2007 18:56

Going to the theatre the day after her b'day which is fine (she doesn't know yet btw) Hence we don't fele the need to spend ££ but she is only 6 and to her a b'day still means toys.

I don't think she's too old for an Iggle Piggle. My ds is 6 and he is definitely not too old for an Iggle Piggle. Come to that, I'm nearly 50 and I'm not too old for an Iggle Piggle!!!!!!

LIZS · 24/08/2007 18:15

lol found an Iggle Piggle beanie today ! Will probably also get her a Furreal Bunny if I can find one.
