washing machines and socks

I have had to call out the washing machine repair man three times in six months to sort out a blockage in my Hotpoint Aquarius - it keeps getting blocked with breast pads and kids' socks. I'm spending so much on repairs I'm thinking of buying a new one - but will this happen to every washing machine I buy?

why dont you pop them in a pillowcase and tie it- alot cheaper
or lakeland do a sock thing for the wash where it clips them togehter

Put them in a lingerie bag. Makes it a lot easier to match up afterwards too!
