WHY??? Just curious...
If it's just for the sound, what about a metronome?

Beauregard · 17/08/2007 22:23

I used to have a big silver one the kind with the bells on top it was phenomenally loud. I am sure it came from somewhere like Ikea. I know for certain it was cheap.

boo64 · 17/08/2007 22:37

YOU HAVE TO TELL ME NOW!!
I have absolutely no idea why!!
Put me out of my misery.

TossClump · 17/08/2007 22:37

lol

Go record someone's LVAD.
Play on loop at full volume.

Or get two clocks and wear as earmuffs.

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 17/08/2007 22:51

Ah I see.

The photos on there are so striking - the way they make something really 'ordinary' like a bottle of hand gel somehow look interesting visually and also by linking it into the stories. What an amazing website.

I really doubt a normalclock would work as most people wouldn't want a tick so loud, but some grandfather clocks are very very loud.

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 17/08/2007 23:03

that was my husband! he is now missing his LVAD as he got a transplant. i am so madly all the time.

but its so quiet in there with him, especially now the little pump also went earlier today.

You could have the one DP brought back from his grandmas.

We moved it out of hte bedroom to teh landing as it was annoying
We moved it down to the kitchen as it was annoying
We wrapped it in a pillow as we could still here it - will that do?

boo64 · 17/08/2007 23:06

Gosh what a lot to go through.

That's fab that he is doing so well!! I bet you want to run around cheering - that would break the silence in there!

SlightlyMadStar · 17/08/2007 23:13

I saw this inocuous product today and couldn't help grinning - I can't imagine what you have been like

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 17/08/2007 23:25
