Last time I had ds in Sept, so managed to avoid this particular horror. This time new babe is due in feb so need maternity tights...but not support tights in shiny American Tan! Please, anyone, where can I get really good Wolford-type matt opaques with plenty of Lycra and lots of room for expansion? Tried Peter Jones today with no luck?
Any leads tried!

Nice & Tights in the same sentance. Just doesnt go does it!!!

Congrats Aloha, not long now. Have you tried the usual JoJo Bebe and Blooming Marvelous books

I am quite small and struggled to find maternity tights that didn't bag round th legs a lot. However, I found that

Formes do good-ish tights.

M&S do some OK ones.

Think you'll have to wait another 4-5 months for those nice Wolford type ones though...

I bought mine from M+S. Found them v comfy. Don't buy from Mothercare - really crap.

I bought some in Blooming Marvellous when pg with DS1 to wear to a wedding. I wore them to the wedding and then never again! Managed to not wear them when pg with DS2 and, in fact, not wear tights at all since the aforementioned wedding(Oct 01!) They were navy if it's any help

Thanks all. Couldn't see any in M&S - maybe try again at the Marble Arch branch. And I'll try Formes online too. Thanks for those. So no really nice Wolford ones then ....might have known....

Aloha, just found this, Spanx maternity tights, which look the closest you're going to get to Wolfords , apparently they're the ones Gwyneth wore! And you could order online from Figleaves - isn't there a link on mumsnet home page?

WideWebWitch · 26/09/2004 12:40

Well, not the ones Gwyneth wore, obviously! Ykwim.

Sorry, honey, I had some from Sock Shop which fell down a lot. Sexy or wot.

hoxtonchick · 26/09/2004 14:15

I got some from John Lewis, very basic & very thick (although this was 3 years ago). I work just over the road from there, I could have a look for you if you like (any excuse, & I need to get vests for ds).

aloha · 26/09/2004 14:23

OOh ta! I'll try to online ones first, but thanks a lot for the offer Hoxtonchick.
