'Giant ' Bikes Pudd'n 16" how old was your son or daughter before this was too small?

I want to get DD a Giant Pudd'n 16" bike for her 4th birthday.

A friend of her of similar age has the 12" and her GM says it will last her another year or two.

DD is taller so GM (who runs the bike shop BTW) says a 16" would be ideal as it will last her a few years. I am thinkning 4 years is a good investment for a £95 bike.

Anyone else had this bike this size and how long did it last?
