School Dresses - what goes underneath?

Help!

Need to go school uniform shopping... I have decided that pinafores would be better for DD than skirt and shirt - but what goes under them?! Is it a white shirt or a polo t-shirt?

New and scary territory here!

well it depends on your school I guess
did htey not give you a uniform list?

ledodgy · 07/08/2007 09:37

It depends on the School ours have white polo t-shirts but some will want white shirts or some will accept both. Do you not ahve a list of the uniform requirement?

Clary · 07/08/2007 09:38

Polo shirt or white shirt for us but most go for polo.

BTW DD and I have found skirts easier than dresses for PE. If you want a dress, try a stretchy one (Sainsbo's do them or M&S) as it's easier to manager. HTH

ours is sky blue polo shirts or white or blue shirts (I think)

FlameBatfink · 07/08/2007 09:42

They say it can be either - didn't want to pick one and then everyone else have different iyswim.

I think she'll be better with polo shirt.

I went with the dress as she has a preference for waistband round her armpits, and also for removing the whole thing to wee and then not putting it back on

ooh I'm glad they only give me one colour shirt - can you imagine the state I'd be in with 2?!!?

It's bad enough with jumper/cardigan - school logo/plain!

One more question... how many?!!?! (Dresses, not tops...)

I bought DD both when she started but she only really wore the polo shirts so this year I didn't bother with the long sleeve shirts.

goingfor3 · 07/08/2007 09:47

DD has 2 dresses and 2 skirts but three is enough.

FlameBatfink · 07/08/2007 09:50

Thank you

I'd be screwed without MN

How did she get so big??

Stood in the shop, pulled a dress on her to check for size... and welled up

"Can I keep it on now Mummy?"

"No"

"Whhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"

"Cos Mummy's going to cry"

The woman walking past was amused!!!
