If so is it quite sturdy or a bit delicate?

TIA

KMc

No, but I'm off to ikea tomorrow so can sit on it if you like !

fingerwoman · 06/08/2007 21:26

they are pretty sturdy. we used to have them at a place I worked at and they were great (as long as you put together properly lol)

Katymac · 06/08/2007 21:28

Did you work in a nursery fingerwoman??

That's what I'm considering them for

Oh Wheelybug would you? & if there are anyother children's chairs that would be good

no, they were used with the kids table in a restaurant I worked in. got a lot of use though.

I've got the cheapo table and chair (£11.99 one) set here for ds and even they are pretty sturdy little things

Katymac · 06/08/2007 21:32

Yep - I have some of them - but the tables are the wrong size

I quite like the Mamut - but it's plastic & that is the wrong look for the nursery

I love this but it is a cleaning nightmare

I have 3 of these and one of these for my three and they are fab

I did want the wood ones rather than the white but didn't do the table to match, but now I really like the white set. Very sturdy amd take my weight

Wheelybug · 06/08/2007 21:37

I was going to say the Mamut as I was sat on it at a friends and didn't realise it was Ikea.

Will go and try the wooden one tomorrow (will put it on my list....)

Katymac · 06/08/2007 21:38

Do those chairs come in wood (they don't seem to be on the website)?

They are just what I want

I could paint in lots of colours or leave natural (or leave the seat natural & paint the back & legs)

No Katymac - the wood ones I meant were the Minnen ones you mentioned. Those Gulliver chairs just come on white, but had a matching table.

Katymac · 06/08/2007 21:47

So do I buy 30 white ones that match or 15 white and 15 wood?

Hmm - only downside is that they don't stack

OP posts:
oooggs · 06/08/2007 21:48

what tables are you using?

Katymac · 06/08/2007 21:50

Well I like the gullivar ones - but I'd need to cluster 4 together

I'm not sure if they are a cheap option (if you see what I mean) - it might be cheaper to buy a bigger table and cutthe legs

like this

oooggs · 06/08/2007 21:55

I have 3 chairs round my gulliver table - do you want a picture?

Katymac · 06/08/2007 21:58

I have 3 of these - I think they are the same/similar

OP posts:
oooggs · 06/08/2007 22:01

yes they are - sorry I couldn't help more - good luck - hope you get what you want

Katymac · 06/08/2007 22:03

S'Ok - you have been great

I now know I can get the chairs separately (which is important)

I'm well on the way

Katymac - I sat on your chairs as I promised and I think they were fine to be honest. Felt sturdy under my weight and I think I weigh a little bit more than a pre-schooler .

Katymac · 08/08/2007 18:37

Aww thank you - that was really kind of you

So now I need a van to buy 30 of them ()

Well I might buy them 10 at a time

i have 1, katy (I actually have 1 of pretty much ALL the wooden ikea kids chairs )

It is very sturdy IMO, yes. It also doesn't seem to stain.

I don't like the plasticy ones, they don't look sturdy.

Katymac · 08/08/2007 20:51

Thanks - that's what I thought

I like Ikea...I know lots of people don't (mind you I don't trust my judgement i like Tescos too)
