Do I need a new car??

Hi, I've currently got a VW Beetle (which I adore and will be heartbroken to get rid of) and I'm worried about the lack of boot space. My partner also only has a BMW Z4 so his car is virtually useless lol. Is my beautiful beetle going to cut it or am I going to have to change? Haven't got mountains of cash to spare, so would be looking at used cars, has anyone got any suggestions? Or has anyone got a Beetle and can save me and tell me it will be big enough?
Thanks
Bridget x

Big enough for what?

I think you're missing out some vital info here OP

Depends what you need to be able to put in it...!

Do you have the cabriolet version or the hatchback?
If the latter, and you're talking space for pushchair etc, you should be ok if you get a small frame..something like a bugaboo bee (or that sort of size). Mine fit fine, even with a few shopping bags.
A car seat will fit easily in the back. Don't have more than 2 kids if you want to keep your beetle though! Wink
I have a cabriolet now and I'm never letting her go!

Sorry, I literally mean big enough to fit everything and anything I might need. Like I said, 1st baby so in terms of exactly what I have no idea just assumed I would work that out when it happens but I was thinking along the lines of pram/travel system etc. I have the hatchback but wouldnt object to the cabriolet if it was practical lol x

You didn’t say 1st baby which is why people are confused!

You’ll be surprised at how much you can fit in small cars. Just try everything out before you buy it and don’t have more than two children, it’ll be fine.

You don't necessarily need to cart much around when it's just you and the baby.

If it's for holidays etc maybe it should be your DP who thinks about getting a more sensible car

I’ve a 18 yr old Beetle, always passes its MOT and is now considered part of our family. So I know what you mean!
You can put the 1/3 back seat down to fit the buggy in. We’ve travelled as a family of 4 often. Soft hold-all luggage is key.
