Waterproof jacket for me....

...that isn't too horrid to look at? And doesn't cost the earth? Apart from the Miniboden one - and the lavender is on a six week wait, although the biggest size would fit me - does such a thing exist?

(and actually now I look at it the Miniboden one probably wouldn't as it's not stretchy...)

havne't see the miniboden one but do you mean like a 'Jack in a Pack' type jacket, very thin but showerproof or do you mean more of a proper jacket with pockets, zip front etc?
Peter Storm do some great waterproof jackets of all shapes and sizes in Millets. Millets also sell the Jack in a Pack.

what kind of style and size (sorry don't wish to be too personal) are you looking for?

motherinferior · 20/09/2004 11:32

I think it's got to be Millet's. I am a short bosomy sort of a person, LMB, looking really for something to keep the rain off as I stomp along with two kids or ride a bike. Doesn't have to be gorgeous. Obviously I would prefer it to be a seductive cleavagy drop dead kind of a slinky thing, but quite honestly I am not planning to be seen by anyone except the long traffic jams on the South Circular.

I got a Peter storm one form Milliet's in the sale and it's great - probalby just what you want. Mine is cerise but this season's colur in Blackberry I think. I am definately a size 16 but the 14 fits perfectly so they are roomy sizes. HTH!

Motherinferior - Millets don't do much in the way of seductive cleavagey drop dead kind slinky things unfortunately, otherwise I'd be in one scaring all the drivers on the school run as I fetch dd from nursery this afternoon but they do a good range of waterproofs in all kinds of sizes. Unfortunately the only one they had to fit me was bright orange and makes me look like a Belisha beacon but you can't have everything - and at least it keeps me dry!

I've got quite a nice on from Millets, by Peter Storm. In fact we have all got a Peter Storm rainproof. All were in the sale. Mine was £19.99.

NomDePlume · 20/09/2004 11:45

Millets have a buy online website. This is the one I bought, but mine is lilac

StickyNote · 20/09/2004 11:45

Another vote for Millets & Peter Storm.

littlemissbossy · 20/09/2004 11:58

I agree with everyone else, Peter Storm from Millets - that's what my kids have got, but sell adult verions and not too expensive

moniker · 20/09/2004 12:05

This is the one I've got only mine is cerise!
