Whilst trying to find the "free stuff for kids" book mentioned on another link, I came across this at
Flying-Pig.co.uk . You can download 4 special kits for free (I've gone for the sheep and the snap up squid!) which you then print out and, I guess, glue together.

Or how about a free build your own medieval castle?

Really educational - will help when the education officer comes round and I have to produce some evidence of the girls having done something all year!!! Thanks.

DS1 has started learning about Castles this week at school - result! I've replaced the black ink in my printer and I'm abot to print it off.

They're also learning about sea creatures so I'm sure the snap up squid will be very useful there. I might try that one myself today

The castle is fantastic!! Just made it with DS1(5.5) and he's a bit young - needed lots of help with it.

Am going to try the castle with DS on the next rainy weekend. Hopefully it will fit with the ELC knights etc that he has.

The doors might be too small but the castle should be big enough for playing. Print it out on card though - ours is very flimsy! It's about 60cm square I think.
