Mobility issues of 5 year old

5 year old girl (with diabetes- i don’t know if this has any significance to her lethargy or if she is just lazy) who struggles with walking to school In the morning. It’s about a mile and a half. We have a brilliant city select 2 seater but it’s pretty overloaded as it is carrying 3. The weight of the 5 year old has killed the buggy and though I’ve been able to replace it, it’s just going to break again if I let her on it. I bought an electric scooter which is great crack but far too big and powerful for her. It was the razor Powercore 90. Any ideas? She can’t ride a bike without stabilisers yet. If I could just find something to get through the next year she’d probably be able to manage the walking. Her sense of balance seems to be ok but not great. She fancies herself as a skater dude but reality doesn’t quite measure up for her yet. Wondering if anyone has any good ideas.

i'd keep going with the bike with stabilisers and has the doctor found a reason for her mobility issues? what problems does she have?

If her blood sugar is high then she will be lethargic and tired.

I think the insulin hasn’t kicked in by the time we’re walking as I give it to her after her porridge ( can’t guess what she’ll actually eat) and we’re straight out the door post injection. The doctor says there is no physiological reason for her to be lethargic but I’m not totally convinced. She will walk at other times of the day. Also my 3 older children had no problem doing the walk to school at that age. I think I need something with a motor. Just don’t know what

Has she been checked for hyper mobility? What age was she when she sat/stood/walked?
