It sounds like your dd is keen! How old is she? You can buy dvd's or cds from the Rad website, is she doing rad syllabus? Good luck. My ds 12 hardly does anything at home.

LIZS · 24/07/2007 20:56

aww bless, she sounds serious ! dd did her pre-primary exam a few weeks ago and we didn't rehearse much at home tbh. Just went through whatever I rememebered from the viewing sessions. Think it is fairly standard stuff, at least from next term, so perhaps there is a DVD to tie in , can't recall which exams they sat though. Will try and google ....

LIZS · 24/07/2007 20:58

possibly this?

DobbyDoesDallas · 24/07/2007 21:04

lol we have only done 1st position so far so she'd be advanced to do 2nd ! hmm I think it is Monday lunchtime and Tuesday after school, followed by swimming , but could be wrong , I'll have to check sometime.

DobbyDoesDallas · 24/07/2007 21:19

tell her to chill out

sasquatch · 24/07/2007 21:28

I'd have to agree with Dobby here.Dont pracise anything until Sept. then enjoy the class.

Skribble · 24/07/2007 22:06

Agree I wouldn't worry too much at home, perhaps Bella Ballerina stuff at most, but I warn you the DVD will drive you mad.

islandofsodor · 25/07/2007 21:48

Dd has found the Bella Ballerina DVD very good but it is so cheesy and the music aargh!
It does help with 1st 2nd and 3rd positions though I am firly of the opinion it shoudl only reinforce what is taught by a proper teacher.

The music goes too fast too imo but she loves using the foot positions on the mat and the ballet bar.

Kbear · 25/07/2007 21:51

My DD has "How to be a ballerina" on video - it's fine for a bit of ballerina-ing round the living room. Would you like it? - She is now 8.5 and doing Russian ballet so has moved on a bit!

dinny · 25/07/2007 22:04

yea, Kbear - sounds ideal - how much are you looking for it? D
