Ahhh thanks Anorak

Coddy I know where you mean i think.

My dad is going to come and look at it for me on friday hopefully and he thinks it may just be the door catch as the machine will start working when i open the door and stop when i shut it.

I have just emailed my mom to ask her if i can order one from her Littlewoods book if mine can't be fixed and she said o.k, so although it'll probably cost me more than going to a shop i'll probably do that.

Thanks again Anorak

nutty could you try and get a second hand one from Loot or ebay or somewhere? Sorry but I only have the one!

There's one /link{http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20714&item=3838380864&rd=1\here for eg} for £80

That is a bargain Cd and thanks for the link, but the auction finnishes in 23 hours and i won't have the money until dp gets paid on 30th.

If my dad reckons mine can be fixed then i'm going to let him do it but start saving for a new one so that i don't get in this mess again.

nutcracker · 15/09/2004 20:29

Jellyhead - How much do you pay for that if you don't mind me asking ?? and who do you rent it off ??

Freckle · 15/09/2004 20:32

Have you thought about reconditioned machines? See here for example.

nutcracker · 15/09/2004 20:35

Thanks for that Freckle, am having a look now.

Thanks Jellyhead

Nutty - how about trying Ad Trader (online) in your area. My sister's (perfect working order) cost £15! People have all sorts of genuine reasons for selling these things! Here.

Aero · 15/09/2004 20:44

Also, if you want a new one, Empire Direct are pretty good, I'm told. And - if you have a John Lewis near you, they wil price match and delivery is free.

nutcracker · 15/09/2004 20:46

OOOh thanks, loads of ideas.

Am going to go through them all and see what i can find.

Oh thats who i was thinking of trying too.

Do you know at all if they do a credit check on you ??? We have bad debt from a while ago and still often get refused .

I'm sure my friend said that they don't credit check, but i don't think she was sure.

Thanks anyway Jellyhead

anorak · 16/09/2004 12:07

You might find now that you've moved the bad debt isn't on your record any more - hopefully!

OP posts:
nutcracker · 16/09/2004 17:09

Nah i've applied for a cat since we moved and still got refused.

Might try applying for a credit card again though
