Christening gifts (when you are the godparent)?

I have looked in the archives but wondered if there was any particular protocol for christening gifts when you are the godparent

DH & I have a couple of these coming up
Both Catholic but I don't think either set of parents are hugely devout

Any ideas?

DS2 was baptised on Sunday. His godparents gave him silver cutlery, Mr Men complete set and a fabulous booklet all about him with his birth information and horoscope info. He also got a bible, wedgewood breakfast set, a silver moneybox and a wedgewood money box, his fist reeboks (my brother!), phto album, fairytale book, bathrobe set and a willow tree statuette Brothers from DS1.

For my godchildren (I have 5) I have bought Bibles, books and for my DN/goddaughter, a silver christening bracelet
