oh right
you can buy the Tripp Trapp with webbing straps instead

tripptrapp-a-like?

FirenzeandZooey · 20/07/2007 19:38

we have one called East Coast and it has no leather on it. We're pleased with it - I wonder if it is related / same as the west coast one you were looking at?

We have a baby dan and it doesn't have any leather, we love it. really easy to clean.

The Tripp Trapp is a fabulous chair. It's nice to look at, hard wearing (I've accidentally left mine in the garden overnight in the rain on several occasions and it's fine) and really does grow with the child. I sit on ours quite regularly! Honestly, I can't think of another 'baby' purchase that is still such an every day part of our kitchen, even now my ds, for whom the chair was purchased, is now almost 5.

i would say no to the svan too, ds hasn't tipped ours over altho come close sometimes.
it's not too easy to clean, the tray has suffered from where it's got wet during cleaning, it's v expensive ( i got mine off ebay for 130), and has lots of nooks and crannies where food gets stuck/hides.

i think a friend has an east coast and she is happy with it.
