Dp recently got some lovely toys from Prague and we were wondering if anyone knows of anywhere you can get European toys from in the UK and / or London? Dd's 2nd birthday is coming up and we're short of ideas ...

jako-o has some great haba toys. They're in Germany, but I ordered some clothes from them & they arrived within a week, & the postage was only 7.5 euros. Also, in an entirely shameless plug, a friend of mine has just opened a brilliant toyshop in Victoria Park, called Play, which has quite a lot of European stuff. HTH.

tolo (a german company I think) also has a good website and sometimes you find the odd thing made by them for ELC, or in toy shops.

Daisy and Tom are pretty good and they do mail order through their website.

There are some on Mailorderexpress - Hama, Brio, Wader, Ravensburger, Klein. For traditional wooden toys Galt and Pintoy are worth a look too.

Am looking forward to browsing others.

Thanks everyone, I'm just going to check out your suggestions now. And Hoxtonchick I'll pay a visit to your mate's shop as I'm not far from Victoria Park.
