Child car sick help

My 4yo suffers from terrible car sickness. Can anyone recommend any products to help? I've seen the anti sickness wrist bands but yet to try them out.

Have you tried Joy rides? Over the counter travel sickness tablets from most chemists.

As well as medicines, have you made sure that they can see out of the window easily - seeing where you are going helps.
We have mint tic tacs and bottled water for the car.
Also (bit counterintuitive) eating a bit before setting off helps - a couple of plain biscuits just before we leave makes a difference.
No looking at books/tablets/DVDs in the car, either look out of window or close eyes.
