You know the sort of thing - bed on top, desk under it. Well, we've just had the Aspace catalogue through and theirs is £900 odd quid!!

Anyone have one/know of any decent/attractive ones that wont bankrupt us? TIA

Dd1;s is form MFI.
Not the best but we reckoned that dd1 would only want it for a few years.
It has a cupboard, drawers and a pull out desk.

The Aspace ones look lovely don't they - but I baulk at the prices too.

We are looking for something similar - at the moment the best I've seen is a whitewashed pine one about £300 in Argos. Homebase used to do it too but it's not on their website at the moment.

Don't do it - my DS got one and even though it has a pull out drawer, with narrow shelves - the worst things are:

  1. underneath just becomes a general dumping ground for all his Action men stuff, and anything else he can't be bothered tidying up
  2. it's really difficult to change the sheets, turn the matress etc (although i suppose if it wasn't against the wall, I may be able to acomplish it)

No desk, but the Hugo one at John Lewis is what we've just bought for DD. It's very nice, lots of storage. But otherwise, Argos had the best selection I'd seen.

Luckily my dd is old enough to change her own bedding!
