i think it's just happened, i know the quinny's changed fairly recently

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 18:04

Is anyone else finding this vaguely amusing, or is it just me?

SpiderBaby · 19/07/2007 18:06

No I laughing too. Chameleon pushchairs are all the rage I heard

they change in september btw

MadEyemarthamooDy · 19/07/2007 18:07

Pushchairs change colour?

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 18:08

There really is a time of year when the colours change?

This is bonkers

bundle · 19/07/2007 18:09

madness

I thought you meant via some "intelligent" fabric, like some kind of chameleon

SpiderBaby · 19/07/2007 18:09

yes like their 'new; range

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 18:15

Yes I got the idea about it being a new range, but am gobsmacked that

a) there is a set time of year when this happens

and

b) that people would be bothered about it enough to find out when this was

JoMa · 19/07/2007 18:16

I did find it kinda mad myself, my pushchair was totally last season when i got it

MadEyemarthamooDy · 19/07/2007 18:16

I'd be more inclined to wait til the new colours came out (and who knew they even did that, eh?) then see if I could get one cheaper because it was the old colour. But only if I actually needed a new pushchair...

evenhope · 19/07/2007 18:22

Silver Cross change in April

frogs · 19/07/2007 18:32

Pushchairs change colour? Weirdly, mine has been the same colour since we first bought it a couple of kids ago. Actually, I lie -- it's gone from bright turquoise to muted turquoise with strong overtones of grey.

But seriously: people care about having the most uptodate pushchair? Why? [puzzled emoticon]

bundle · 19/07/2007 18:34

frogs, the other day someone was angsting over matching her pushchair (I toldher she'd look like a foot muff if she tried to coordinate )

MadEyeMisdee · 19/07/2007 18:34

they change throughout the year, m+p introduced new colours earlier this year, bugaboo bringing out denier fabrics about now, maclarens i think were done beginning of the year.

bundle · 19/07/2007 18:38

repeat after me, misdee:

"my name is misdee and I'm a pushchair addict"

MadEyeMisdee · 19/07/2007 18:41

i just get emailed when the new ranges come out.

bundle · 19/07/2007 18:42

don't they just realise, they're feeding your habit???

tut tut

MadEyeMisdee · 19/07/2007 18:44

haha, sometime i just laugh and go 'what the heck is that!!'

Sheherazadethegoat · 19/07/2007 18:48

omg, it is just like cars! i really resent knowing this.

MadEyeMisdee · 19/07/2007 18:52

i dont care if my buggy is out of date tbh. i have a battered maclaren triuph which i rescused. buying the raincover for it was the same ££ as the buggy. still a bargain at that price.

happydays6 · 19/07/2007 19:22

I didn't word that very well did i..I'm looking at buying a light weight pushchair to use through the holiday on the bus.I would of liked the maclaren because its light just don't like the brown colour it's in at the moment.Yes i know its sad thinking about the colour but there you go,just wondered if they were going to change soon.

SpiderBaby · 19/07/2007 19:24

I only know they bring out new colours/ranges because I have just bought an 'old range' pram for about £200-£300 under the original retail price, just because its old range. Bloody stupid

MadEyeMisdee · 19/07/2007 19:34

mad isnt it spiderbaby. i know m+p reduced their afternoon tea pramettes to £150 in some stores. they are RRP of £400, still higher price on websites.

happydays6 · 19/07/2007 19:35

It was only a question i didn't think anybody would be that about it.It wasn't so i could have the newest one out(even though thats up to me)i just don't like the brown and dh would go mad if i put him in a pink one.I thought that mn would be the place to find out but never mind.
