I want a couple of new games to take on holiday with us. What goes down well in your house?

Mine (same ages) like "Balloon Lagoon" -but it's quite big to take on holiday.

ds (7) is still quite happy playing the Orchard toys games like "shopping list" and "pirates"

We're in the car haggis so will have some space. Will have a look at Balloon lagoon

mine (similar age) love that Uno that shoots out cards (doesn't take up too much space either)

the silly ones where you have to hang monkeys off trees (can't remember name)

Junior Scrabble, Junior Monopoly

tescos were last week selling Travel Games at £4 for 2.

They had hangman, guess who, battleships, connect 4 and 6-in-1 games.

For your ages - i'd suggested the guess who and 6-in-1 (which includes similar to frustration).

Only "honourable mention" would be Junior Cluedo - but we find that the kids enjoy ANY game when they have mum & dad sitting and playing with them as a family.

top trumps (specifically the tractor one in our family !).

You can get some great travel games such as connect 4, ludo and snakes and ladders. Also dominoes.
