Best car for a small family

We are due to get another car soon, we currently have a 5 year old & a baby due any day now. Both me & my OH are tall so need something with a bit of roof height at least and space in the back as we're on the last notch on the stretch of the seat adjustment!
Current mileage per year averages at 7,000.

OH had been looking at cars like the Kia Sportage etc but then got completely sidetracked by the Mercedes and Audi websites.

Any help would be great!

Would highly recommend the Kia Sportage! It’s great and sounds just what you are looking for

Thank you @Ellabella989

I think we need to go & test drive this weekend!

I like the C-Max. It;s got a higher roof line than a regular hatchback, so it has a higher seating position and more headroom. It's not quite such a tank as the Sportage and similar SUVs. It handles nicely and mine has been very reliable.

Our child minder had a Sportage and loved it, but they hiked the lease price massively so she swapped to the equivalent Hyundai (Tucson?) and she's happy with that.
