She hate the very small (but dark) amount of hair she has below her hairline, to top of area between shoulder blades.

She is 16, and wants me to put Nair or similar on it.

Would you?

of course. Why wouldn't you?

Just think she will then want to do it all the time. It is like neck hair.

I don't like it when they do their arms as well (DD doesn't, she epilates everything else though!)

No! I know two beauticians who are convinced using these creams actually increases hair growth - if it is not too much could you wax it? will take longer to grow back and should come back lighter

MollyWeasleyWays · 15/07/2007 22:46

She epilates but won't consider waxing - too painful!

would she let you bleach it instead?

Sixer · 15/07/2007 22:48

Possibly, but would def do a very small patch first. A couple of weeks in advance so she could see for herself if it's suitable.

I am a beauty therapist Molly and I would recommend bleaching the hairs. In the position that they are I dont imagine they grow very much so bleaching would be a good solution. Depilatory creams melt the hair down to the skin but they will grow as quickly as they would with shaving. Waxing backs not a good way to go either, in this aread.

Hair lightener is defiintely the way to go in my opinion.

Is it that big? One rip is better than epilating!

Bleach sounds the best pain free option

MollyWobbles · 15/07/2007 22:51

Will look at bleach - thanks everyone
