3 teenagers and a dog

We currently have a galaxy and love it. However it is starting to need more and more work on it so are looking to replace it. We have thought about another galaxy but there seem to be less of them around. We are also concerned about having a diesel.

So we need a car with 3 good seats across the back, plenty of room in the boot for a large Labrador, and possibly extra seats in the boot for friends and relatives.

We've not long since bought a newer (2015) Zafira. It is very different from older Zafiras we'd had. Really spacious.

I had a galaxy and switched to a zafira. Really like it, very versatile. I have 4 teen DCs and a dog.

I had a Zafira as a courtesy car when my Galaxy was in for a repair. It wasn't as big and the middle back seat wasn't a full size seat, meaning that the smallest teen had to sit in it whilst grumbling. It caused a scrap along the lines of, "He's leaning on me", "Well he's sitting on me". The far back seats were for smaller children only but fine for the dog when folded flat. It would be OK for tweens but not for tall teens. We could not have had it permanently and I was very glad to get my Galaxy back.
When this Galaxy dies I'd consider an S-Max.

I have one teen in the back. (With one seat down if I need to). Two in the middle with the middle seat down and one in the front. We rarely travel together these days though, so usual have plenty of boot space.

Citroen C4 grand Picasso. Love mine. Well, love the space and the fuel economy (although diesel) but it doesn’t drive as nicely as my old Audi A6 estate.

The Citroen is now called a spacetourer. That's what you want. My new one drives v nicely and it's cast. Ideal for teens.

Vast not cast

Thanks, I think we will have a bit of a shop around tomorrow, it is a hard decision!

Ah so it is. Mine’s a 66 plate and has many of the same features. We got it as DH is 6’5” and DS was rapidly reaching 6’- he’s now almost caught up with his dad 🤦🏻‍♀️ And DD and I are 5’8” and we have a lab and a spaniel so they were to go in the boot. Sadly, doggos won’t go in the boot and you can’t pop it down quickly to put them in there as it’s electronic and sloooooooow so they get out before it shuts.
Oh and paintwork on Citroen’s is crap.

We have had a look around and are now thinking of a Volkswagen Sharan. Anyone got any experience?
