Velcro toys??

Strange question!! Does anyone have/know of any toys, suitable for a one year old that have velcro on them? my dd is obsessed with the velcro on dh's trainers and even sat and played with my gran's special velcro sandals for ages yesterday!! I cant see that playing with shoes is very hygenic!!

Don't quite a few cloth books have velcro fastenings on them? I'm sure ds has one that has a loop with velcro to keep the pages closed.

You can be sure that if you buy a toy with velcro then your dd will still want to play with the trainers.

I spent hours making a 'taggie' blanket with a piece of fleece and some lovely ribbon for dd when she was about 7 months old as she was obsessed with labels. When I presented it to her the next morning, she leaned right across it for the label on the blanket she was sitting on!!

Yes DD has a couple of fabric books with velcro on. She was also facinated by some 'cut and slice' vegeatbles at a friends house - although technically I am sure hey are probably 2+

Another thing that DD loves is her fisher price cookie tray thing. The cookies have magnets in - and she spends ages sticking too cookies together and pulling them apart - which was pretty much what she was doing with the velcro lemon.

Tictac, you are probably right about her still wanting the shoes though!
I'll have to have a look for the magnetic toy too, it does sound like the same principle as the velcro
