Help with bridesmaid dresses, please

The christening outfit thread has reminded me...

I need 3 girls' bridesmaid dresses in sizes 2 yr, 3/4 yr (for a very small 4 yr old) and 7yr in 2 months.

I want something simple-ish and bright (I was originally going to get them made in bright contrasting colours). I really like this dress but it only goes up to 6yr. I could get that one for the two little ones and another contrasting one for the 8 yr old, but I'm stuck. Nothing on ebay - all pastel colours and dresses which you can't really tell how nice they are from the pic.

Budget up to £50 each.

(also - I have to add this - ds is the one in the two boys' outfits on the kidswindow link that hula posted on the christening outfit thread. Cute, isn't he? Didn't want to ambush that thread to mention it.)

the monsoon dresses are nice, but I only like the white (bridesmaid) ones and I'd rather have colours, I think. Plus they do do them in size 2 yr. and they'd need a cardie too (so expensive).

Any other ideas?

Oh no, I see, they do a similar one in the baby girl section. Still a bit pricey for the older girls though, but an option.

not looked but they may have something

SoupDragon · 11/09/2004 11:40

Why aren't you going to have them made now? It's much easier to get exactly what you want then.

auntyquated · 11/09/2004 11:46

yes Next do them

fairydust · 11/09/2004 22:17

what ever you do don't have them from BHS my mum paided £320 for three little bridesmaid dresseS and accessories and two of them were ruined after an hour after the ceremoney the the stiching all came away holding the top layer in place

When returned the assistants said that the children must have been mistreating them.
