Dreadful service from GLTC

I am also also deeply disappointed with GLTC, and since April have been seeking a refund for my goods returned and an apology for them making countless mistakes relating to my (

Good luck, I never managed a refund from them for goods which never turned up!
Ordered at start of Dec for Christmas pressies - started to panic when they hadn't arrived by about the 20th Dec. When I phoned they said, that they had never been despatched!! (but I had been charged for them)FFS - by then not all items in stock anymore. They resent 3 of the 5 things I ordered - but I had to go out to shops and buy replacement presents.
The refund never arrived, they are useless in these events. At the end of January my 'original' parcel turned up - seems it had been sent after all.
I kept it

Oh dear. Well that is sounding very typical of them. However legally they must return the money. The thieves!

BTW, I mistakingly set up a new discussion here, instead of adding to another called 'A Warning re GLTC' where Esie had made a recent comment about not touching them with a bargepole and saying she'd wished she'd read the thread before using them. Well me too.

but the rest of the other thread was 5 years old !

I know lots of people have been pleased with them but ti took 4mts for them to deliver a bookcase for me and that was with me chasing them like a loon-will never order from them again.

I posted a thread on the AIBU re GLTC earlier this week. I have spent 12 weeks trying to get a replacement side safety rail for my DDs' classic bunk bed (the first one was delivered damaged). I have paid over £700 (inc £25 delivery charge)for a bed that is useless. I bought the bed to get my DD's settled into sharing a room well before my baby is born in September but its looking unlikely now ! Every time I phone I speak to someone else who promises to get back to me. I have e-mailed countless times. I am getting more and more fed up with the whole situation. I posted a letter to the "Head of Customer Services" on Monday and have had no response. I don't know who to turn to next but on reading this thread I realise that I am not the only one who has suffered such appalling service! Mumsnet should not have GLTC advertised on its website!

I had a very bad experience with them back in 2001 and haven't used them since. We made the mistake of ordering quite a lot of stuff for ds' bedroom and it was delivered to a different workplace address.
They never apologised, never explained.
I think they're a disgrace and I am honestly surprised they are still in business. Everyone makes mistakes occasionally...but they do it too often. No point in a delightful product range if you cannot be arsed to treat your customers properly once you have their money.

alibubbles · 12/07/2007 18:50

Crap service, I have £20 of gift vouchers given for crap service and they won't honour them as they say they don't do gift vouchers!

DarrellRivers · 12/07/2007 18:58

Well, Was thinking of ordering a bookcase from them, think I will move swiftly away from the website
Thanks

Yep, its terrible isn't it. I really like the Lazarri furniture and really want to get some more, but am loathe to use them again. Bloom Marv used to do it too I think but no longer do so now am looking elsewhere.... (www.colours.ltd.uk)- looks bit cheaper too!

Also I feel a bit guilty as I used to recommend them to my friends as I thought the product selection was fab...and now they hear my complete opposite opinion.
