Doies anyone know how it performs in safety checks?

Hi smileyragdoll, we have this seat but only used it in forward facing position. We've been very happy with it. It was the only one that fitted our car (and we tried several at a few different retailers!) and has a big bonus it has two ways to feed the seatbelt through it so it can fit most cars safely. We've used it successfully in other people's cars which is reassuring as you can avoid buckle crunch. The retailers all recommended it too.

You can phone Britax (number on their website) and they should be able to tell you whether it is compatible with your car. Do get it fitted/tested in your car by a reputable retailer too - and then buy a whole load cheaper on kiddicare or babycare-direct!! HTH.

I believe it's highly rated, provided it fits your car. The Britax website will tell you if it should fit or not. We have one and used it rear facing from about 7 months and recently moved onto front facing. I found it a bit of a faff getting ds in and out while rear facing, but I think that's pretty much the same for all seats. Now he's front facing it's much easier. I swap it several times a week between mine and dh's car and find it very easy to fit securely.
I have a friend who used one from birth of dd and was very happy with it.

Have just bought this car seat today after lengthy research. Thing that swayed me in the end was the Britax website which tells you whether it will fit your car or not. This meant I could buy it confidently online and not worry about having to pay return postage if it didn't fit. Originally I wanted a bebe confort one but as there are no retailers anywhere near me and not even their hotline in London could tell me if it would fit my car I gave up for the reasons explained earlier. By the way, the car seat you are interested in is £120 in Mothercare, but only £95 (except for one colourway which is £110) from kiddicare.com - free delivery in 4 days but mine arrived in 3. It is our 2nd car seat but we have put it in rear facing as our dd was prem and it will be many more months before she gets to the magic 9kg. I will try and remember to let you know how the first outing goes tomorrow.

We have it and have used it every day since birth for my DD1 who is now 4 and a half. Like it so much have bought another for DS 4 months. Like your son he is very long.I like that you can adjust it during the journey when your child falls asleep!

Just bought one of these from edirectory.co.uk for £88.47 in the aqua marine colour. Free delivery too!

I got mine at Halfords for £99 special offer. Dd had outgrown her carrycot at 5 months. I have this rearfacing in the seat beside me. I really like it and it's easy to fit. I think we are going to have to think about a second one for dh's car
