Material for covering a headboard

Does anyone know what would be the best type of material to cover a headboard????

anything you fancy really. upholstery fabric would be the ideal but that can be quite expensive. i've covered mine in the past with the same fabric as i've used for curtains- i just double it up

Mine is a "lovely" fake cow print, not lots of cows. Just looks like cows skin, it;s lovley and soft amd DS now calls my bedroom the MOO MOO room.

I made my own with MDF and padding, and the total cost was £23. as opposed to the £199 we could find the cheapest headboard for. It's a super king size. and the bed only cost £400 so I was not forking that out.

I didn't really ike it to begin with, but DP did and now I really love it. Authentic DIY

If I could have afforded it, Suede would have been what I would have chosen.

But we had a really fun time making it, and it always makes me smile
